2021 Bacigalupi Zinfandel – Russian River Valley

Helen and Charles Bacigalupi started farming their precious old vine grapes in the Russian River Valley in 1956. The Bacigalupis were about 50 years ahead of the sustainable agriculture movement, avoiding chemicals and tilling and then training vines as high as four feet above the ground to improve air circulation. Zin from this vineyard is rare, natural, and absolutely perfect. We think you’ll agree.
The 2021 Frediani Zinfandel hails from the northern end of Napa Valley near Calistoga, showcasing the bold character of this historic vineyard. The wine opens with deep, rich aromas of black fruits, sweet tobacco, and a touch of baking spice. On the palate, juicy blackberries, ripe sugar plums, and black fig create a lush, full-bodied experience. A kiss of American oak adds warm spice and depth, leading to a long, lingering finish that perfectly balances power and elegance.
